Mr. Hudson
Mr. Hudson is a band based in London, England who are signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label. The band is led by Ben Hudson (guitar and vocals), who is a singer, songwriter and record producer. Their influences widely range from David Bowie and The Police to Andre 300 (OutKast) to Dizzee Rascal. The band released their first album, A Tale of Two Cities, in 2007 to strong reviews and airplay from Jo Whiley and Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 shows. Also that year, the band supported Amy Winehouse, Paulo Nutini, Mika and Groove Armada as well as appeared at several UK festivals such as Glastonbury, T in the Park, The Big Chill, Godiva Festival and Bestival. The band also supported Kanye West on his Europe leg of his Glow in the Dark Tour. Mr. Hudson was featured on the single, “Paranoid” on Kanye West’s fourth album, 808s & Heartbreak, where Kanye stated "I believe Mr. Hudson has the potential to be bigger than me, to be one of the most important artists of his generation." Recently the band released “Supernova” featuring Kanye West from the upcoming album, Straight No Chaser, due in early October. “White Lies” is a song that Kanye West released recently on his blog as a teaser for the future release. If you can’t wait until October for new music from the band, you can also catch two collaborations with Jay-Z on The Blueprint 3 album.
