"Kevin’s exceptional relationships across the entire entertainment industry extend far beyond the film and TV worlds, and have led to tremendous opportunities to break artists, grow their careers, and broaden their audiences."

Most recently, Weaver has led Platinum-certified soundtracks for Furious 7 and Suicide Squad, including the latter’s global hit "See You Again," by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth. The role takes effect early this month and will see Schuller based in Munich while reporting directly to Sony Music’s Sr. VP of Domestic (GSA), Willy Ehmann. “I’ve been appreciating Sigi for many years,” commented Willy Ehmann. “He lives with music, has an excellent network, enjoys great respect and trust with artists and management - but above all he is very successful in what he does.”

Schuller added, “I have always regarded my profession as a gift and the great changes in the market and the relationship with artists and partners as the greatest challenge and joy with regard to personal development to the great team at Columbia, together we will accept this challenge and develop Columbia as a home for artists of all kinds.”

A&R Worldwide is very saddened to report the passing of highly-respected music industry veteran and iconic manager, Safta Jaffrey. Safta had been an incredible friend and supporter to many artists, producers, executives, friends and, most importantly, a great family man who leaves behind his wife Nadia and their two children. Nadia shared the sad news of Safta’s loss several days ago by stating, “It’s with a heavy heart, I am announcing Safta's passing. After a long period of illness, he has died peacefully on our wedding anniversary on the 25th of September 2017 in France. The funeral was held yesterday. The children and I will miss him forever as we lost a great father, an amazing husband, my best friend and a great friend to many.”

Sat Bisla, President & Founder, A&R Worldwide, who was a longtime friend of Safta and has worked closely with him on many of his artist management clients prior to their label signings including Muse, Vega 4, Serafin and others, stated, “I’m extremely saddened to hear about the loss of a great friend, mentor, passionate music aficionado and wonderful family man Safta Jaffrey. Safta has been very kind and supportive to so many including myself during my early days in the music business and beyond. Outside of work Safta became a close friend and we had the pleasure of travelling around the world together from the early 90s onwards. Safta will be truly missed; however, his great vision and passion and for music, people, community and family will remain a part of his incredible legacy and contributions.”

Safta had over 30 years of A&R background and experience having worked in many different areas of the music industry and gaining a thorough understanding of the business and the creative process along the way. Safta was also the MD and co-owner of Taste Media Limited, set up in partnership with Dennis Smith. In the early 90s they discovered, signed and managed Muse whose first three albums were released through Taste Media Ltd, all reaching Platinum sales status having sold five million albums throughout the world. In addition Taste Media had also signed Vega 4 (licensed to Capitol (U.S.) and Serafin (licensed to Elektra (U.S.). In addition, Safta had previously served as a board member of AIM.

Lilly Among Clouds is an artist from Würzburg, Germany that sits down at the piano and writes great pop songs. Similar to a collage, her songs are dramatic, complex, wide and beautiful. There are wagging beats or hall-like electric guitars, which produce a pleasant depth and at the same time lend Lilly's voice into a golden light. Producer Udo Rankling, who recently had another No.1 on the German Charts, realized at an early stage that her journey will lead her far beyond the classic “singer-songwriter lady at the piano” situation. Born Lilly Bruchner, she creates her songs filled with harmonies that will leave you with a lump in your throat. She has performed alongside Nelly Furtado, Paolo Nutini, KT Tunstall, The Temper Trap and LP at the Zermatt Unplugged Music Festival last April. Her album Ariel Perspective ([PIAS]) was released in August featuring the single “Remember Me,” which is earning positive buzz from her fans and radio community. Lilly Among Clouds is available for album licensing and booking for N. and S. American territories, Korea and China as inquiries can be directed to Mario Cetti at mario@kumplesandfriends.com. She’s represented by Wintrup as a worldwide publisher; for synch inquiries, please contact info@wintrup.de.
