Bonnie McKee

Bonnie McKee

Talented/singer songwriter Bonnie McKee (Katy Perry, Dr. Luke, Taio Cruz) got her big break in the music business thanks to the early efforts of A&R Worldwide founder Sat Bisla back in 2001 (Bisla was also the founder of A&R Network the predecessor to A&R Worldwide). Bisla recognized Bonnie's very early potential and advised her then manager to redo her demos with a producer friend of his called Nicolas Jodoin whom Bisla had met through his longtime friend Kevin Held. Bisla took her re-produced songs including "Somebody" to his label, music publishing contacts and music attorneys Doug Mark and Brian Schall, which led to immediate national interest and multiple seven-figure offers from many of the major labels at that time. With Bisla's and her lawyer's suggestion, Bonnie's signed with Warner Bros.

Bonnie's original manager, Colin Filkow stated, "A&R Network [predecessor to A&R Worldwide] produced an unprecedented outlet. I knew that Bonnie was a rare talent, but in order to get her a major-label deal, I was going to need the right forum and support for exposure," Filkow says. "A&R Network Founder Sat Bisla loved her. He was very passionate about her music, and, thanks to Bisla's priceless support, advice and guidance she [Bonnie McKee] was off and running almost immediately. I was amazed at how fast he [Sat Bisla] was able to get the word out --it is obvious he has the relationships, trust and ears of the U.S. and global music industry."
