BELLZZZ

Eighteen-year-old BELLZZZ, a luminary of the dark cinematic pop genre, skillfully fuses sublime soundscapes with evocative scenes that veer from the darkly comic to the downright macabre. Possessing a vocal clarity and lyrical maturity that has become increasingly characteristic of the post-internet singer-songwriters, she graciously ushers us into dream-pop vistas. Having graced notable line-ups alongside esteemed ensembles such as Picture Parlour, her unreleased compositions are swiftly gathering substantial attention within the industry. Exhibiting a knack for interweaving tales of local misfits and provincial mindsets with broader tapestries of pop culture and societal allusions, BELLZZZ ingeniously reimagined the lyrics of her opus, “No Shoes Girl,” to harmonize with the apocalyptic essence of the acclaimed television series, Succession (HBO). This feat of musical adaptation garnered admiration from none other than the show’s original composer, Emmy Award-winner Nicholas Britell, who, so deeply impressed, shared her creation across his personal social media canvas. Her lyrical gaze turns inward and captures us all there, under the irrepressible gaze of a childhood basked in the unending blue-light of the internets doomscape utopia, her stripped back and raw vocals cut directly into the interrupted trance of our post-pandemic, post-capitalism wasteland and demand of us that we dream bigger, weirder and better than we ever did before. Discover “No Shoes Girl (Succession)” HERE, and contact Marco Ferraro at marco@manajamma.com for available opportunities with BELLZZZ.

GRACE CARTER

In 2018, Grace Carter released her debut EP titled “Why Her Not Me,” which serves as a poignant exploration of pain and loss, deeply influenced by her father’s absence. The EP struck a chord with both audiences and critics alike, propelling her to a remarkable third position on the prestigious BBC Sound Poll of 2019. Notably, the EP garnered extensive support from BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2. This year, Carter exhibits unwavering momentum as her single “Pick Your Tears Up” has surged past 300 million streams, and she astonishingly sold out her highly-anticipated Omeara show within a mere 30 seconds. Acknowledged as one of Britain’s most captivating young vocalists, this singer-songwriter has captivated global audiences with her resounding voice and profoundly honest lyrics. Recently, she unveiled her single “Riot,” featured in her EP A Little Lost, A Little Found, released through BMG just last month. Carter describes “Riot” as a composition centered on the theme of injustice, particularly addressing the emotional and physical disparities that black individuals confront daily. While the song was written in 2014 following the tragic killing of Eric Garner, its lyrics tragically remain relevant due to the persistent presence of systemic racism and police brutality. Upon the creation of the song’s visual counterpart, Carter collaborated with director Priya Ahluwalia to craft an uplifting and visually captivating visual. The video underscores the importance of unity and collective voice as agents of change. To experience the impactful “Riot” video, you can watch it HERE. For inquiries regarding opportunities, reach out to Jamie Herron at jamie.herron@bmg.com and Dominic Squire at dominic.squire@bmg.com.
