In just a month into his new role, Behm has initiated a comprehensive restructuring of the company. This reorganization will see Sony Music GSA’s labels aligned under three new “overarching frontline label groups” – the Ariola Label Group, the Columbia Label Group, and the RCA Label Group. In addition, Behm has established a revamped GSA management team to oversee these changes.
One of the first major appointments under Behm’s leadership is Sandra Caase, who has been elevated to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer for Sony Music Entertainment GSA. PETRI MANNONEN APPOINTED AS THE NEW CEO OF UNIVERSAL MUSIC FINLAND
Petri Mannonen has been named the new CEO of Universal Music Finland. He officially stepped into the role on October 2.
Having been with Universal since 2010, Mannonen has taken on various positions, including Commercial Director and Head of Baltic operations, where he focused on growing the local music scene. With 25 years of experience in the music industry, Mannonen led Viasat Finland (now known as Viaplay) as CEO, prior to working for Universal Music Finland.
Universal highlights that the Finnish music market has seen major growth, with local artists dominating 90% of Spotify‘s Top 50 chart over the past year. The label credits its success in Finland to artists such as KUUMAA, Mirella, and Robin Packale, who have made significant impacts in the domestic music landscape. Universal currently holds a 35.7% market share in Finland, according to IFPI statistics.
Joakim Johansson, Director of Universal Music Group’s Nordic countries, said, “We are pleased to appoint Petri Mannonen as CEO of Universal Music in Finland and the Baltics. He has been in a key role in our operations in this area for a long time, and with him we will ensure a strong experience in innovation ability and management. His appointment also strengthens Universal’s commitment to developing its own expertise within the organization. I believe that Petri, together with our competent team, will take us in his area of responsibility towards the next stage of growth. I hope that the entire music industry joins in congratulating him on his well-deserved promotion.”
Petri Mannonen added, “The domestic music market is currently in an interesting situation. Nowadays, it is easier than ever to release music, and as the supply increases, the role of large record companies is also emphasized. Our mission is to focus on building long-lasting artist careers while taking care of the artists. We want to offer our current and future artists a creative and professional place to grow and develop, while ensuring that their music ends up being heard by the right kind of audience. I strongly believe in the wider social significance of music and culture as a generator of people’s mental well-being and pleasure. That requires the right kind of resources, presence, energy, and well-being of artists. We will invest in these.

His role will involve guiding the A&R and Marketing teams to enhance Warner Music’s impact across diverse markets and genres.
Alen Torosyan, stated, “We have been building our Emerging Markets division at pace over the last few years. There is never a dull moment when you are working with such a vast range of talent across some of the most exciting markets in the world and a team that is so driven to succeed. Each week, A&R Worldwide shares a snapshot of creatives and executives that we have collaborated or worked with in various music markets around the world, albeit in recent or previous times!
There are many inspiring stories, as well as mentors and legends in the music business whose work is heard, but not necessarily seen. Both A&R Worldwide Founder Sat Bisla and Martin Dodd a renowned A&R executive and a key music executive for the TV show The Voice who manages one of the world’s most successful hits songwriters Max Martin (who has penned hits for Adele, Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, Eminem, Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, and countless others) met back in the mid-90s through their mutual trusted friend, mentor Mel Medalie, Founder, Champion Records & Cheeky Music, U.K.
Mel went from being a hairdresser in his teenage years to working with Brian Epstein (manager of The Beatles) to working with one of The Beach Boys, and eventually working with David Bowie‘s music publishing company in the 70s. Mel eventually launched Champion Records where he enjoyed a successful No.1 hit with the U.K. band Liquid Gold and their single “Dance Yourself Dizzy.” Mel followed this success with the signing of Will Smith (his first international record label deal), Kristine W, Salt-N-Pepa, Sandy B, and the global No.1 smash by Robin S “Show Me Love.” This was followed by Mel starting Cheeky Records with his business partner Rollo Armstrong, where they signed O.T. Quartet, Faithless, Dido, and others (with the last two selling tens of millions of albums and singles worldwide).
Besides’ Mel’s knack for finding the hits, he has been a genuine, kind, and generous human-being, he’s also played a part in supporting and nurturing young professionals who have evolved into influential executives in the international music business.
ARXX
Brighton, England-based power duo ARXX has released their latest single, “Trouble,” from the just-released album Good Boy, via Submarine Cat Records. “Trouble” delves into the emotional complexity of a breakup, blending bass-heavy, electronic sounds that showcase some of the band’s most experimental work to date. The song explores the instinctive feelings that arise during a relationship’s breakdown, with ARXX aiming to make listeners feel these emotional shifts as much as hear them. The album Good Boy is a celebration of queer identity and personal growth, reflecting the duo’s evolution over the past few years. Vocalist Hanni Pidduck and drummer Clara Townsend use the album to embrace their queer identities and spread the joy they longed to see in their youth. After the success of their debut, the band has navigated highs and lows, from supporting MUNA and Fletcher on tour to Hanni’s vocal surgery and coming out as non-binary. The album encapsulates this journey, offering an honest, vibrant testament to self-discovery and acceptance. With recent performances at Reading and Leeds festivals and a headline tour across the U.K. and Europe this month and in November, ARXX is poised for their biggest chapter yet. Listen to “Trouble” HERE, and contact Dexter at hello@littlewonderpr.com for all available opportunities pertaining to ARXX.
BEARTOOTH
Beartooth‘s new single, “ATTN.,” from The Surface (Deluxe Edition), captures frontman Caleb Shomo‘s ongoing journey of self-reflection and empowerment. The song showcases the band’s signature mix of high-energy hooks, soaring choruses, and crushing breakdowns, all while highlighting Shomo’s shift toward self-love after years of battling mental health challenges. The accompanying video metaphorically mirrors his personal and professional growth, depicting Shomo’s rise from underground subways to the streets above, symbolizing his path from inner turmoil to clarity and success. With The Surface debuting at No.1 on Billboard’s Hard Rock Albums Chart and generating nearly 200 million streams, and the single being supported at radio, including plays at Music Choice and SiriusXM Octane so far, “ATTN.” is poised to resonate deeply with fans as Beartooth embarks on a major European and U.K. tour, sharing their raw and powerful sound across iconic venues.
