Beyond his professional achievements, Kirk and his family are committed supporters of philanthropic organizations focused on mental health, children’s welfare, and health — a reflection of his belief in using influence to uplift others.

Peermusic has named James Cerreta as President of its U.S. and Canadian operations.

Operating from the company’s Los Angeles office, Cerreta will lead artist signings and the strategic growth of Peermusic’s catalog across both countries. Cerreta’s career began on the label side, working in A&R at Mercury Records, Island Def Jam, and Hollywood Records. In 2002, he pivoted into publishing, joining Chrysalis Music where he rose to become Head of West Coast A&R. During his time there, he helped shape the careers of artists such as Ray LaMontagne, My Morning Jacket, The Bravery, Manchester Orchestra, Mastodon, and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros.

In 2012, Cerreta co-founded Big Deal Music Group and served as its Co-President. Peermusic began representing Big Deal Music’s catalog under a sub-publishing agreement in 2017, a partnership that remained in place until Big Deal was acquired by Sony in June.

Following that acquisition, Cerreta moved into a senior leadership role at Hipgnosis Songs Group in 2020 as Executive Vice President. While there, he continued working with longtime collaborators like LaMontagne and My Morning Jacket, and signed acts like Blake Mills, Weyes Blood, Ethan Gruska, Beach House, FIDLAR, Lucy Dacus, and Phoelix. In addition, he played a key role in establishing joint ventures with creative entities like Big Family (Julian Bunetta and John Ryan), Nice Life (Ricky Reed), NOID, and STMPDWN.

Mary Megan Peer, CEO of Peermusic, said, “Jamie brings deep indie publishing experience to Peermusic, coupled with proven creative and deal-making instincts. His strong relationships with songwriters and producers are built upon his history of supporting their creative development as they grow their careers. I know that Peermusic’s U.S. and Canadian writers, as well as new signings, will enjoy Jamie’s support as he drives our companies forward in his new position.”

Rayna Bass and Selim Bouab, current Co-Presidents of 300 Entertainment, are expanding their leadership responsibilities within Atlantic Music Group (AMG), officially stepping into newly created roles as Co-Presidents of Hip-Hop, R&B, and Global Music at Atlantic Records. Alongside this announcement, Lanre Gaba has been appointed Executive Vice President, Artist Strategy & Development at AMG, transitioning into a new advisory role. All three executives will remain based in New York and report directly to Elliot Grainge, CEO, AMG.

Rayna Bass, Selim Bouab, and Lanre Gaba

Bass and Bouab have been with 300 Entertainment since its early days, helping shape the label’s identity and shepherding the careers of acts such as Megan Thee Stallion, Young Thug, Gunna, Mary J. Blige, as well as rising stars like Hunxho, Jordan Adetunji, and 1900Rugrat. Following its acquisition by Warner Music Group in 2021, the duo’s influence has only grown within the broader company structure.

Rayna Bass launched her career as an intern at Island Def Jam and quickly climbed the ranks to become a standout marketing executive. She joined 300 Entertainment in 2014 as its first marketing hire and rose to Sr. VP of Marketing by 2019 before becoming Co-President. She has led campaigns for artists including Fetty Wap, Migos, and Tee Grizzley, and has been widely recognized by Billboard, Variety, and other top industry outlets. Her accolades include appearances on Billboard‘s Women in Music, Indie Power Players, and 40 Under 40 lists, as well as awards from Clio Music, Webby, and Libera.

Selim Bouab also joined 300 in 2014, bringing prior experience from Def Jam, Asylum, and Sony Music. She has been honored as RIAA Executive of the Year and regularly featured on Billboard‘s Power Players and Variety‘s Hitmakers lists.

A&R Worldwide Exposed

Each week, A&R Worldwide shares a snapshot of creatives and executives that we have collaborated or worked with in various music markets around the world, albeit in recent or previous times!

FEELING “KEANE” FOR A GLOBAL RECORD DEAL: Pictured (L-R) before their infamous A&R Worldwide supported showcase at the Viper Room in West Hollywood, CA back in 2001 are Adam Tudhope (Manager, Keane), Richard Huges (Keane), former staffer Mike Savage, Tom Chaplin (Keane), Sat Bisla (President & Founder, A&R Worldwide) and Tim Rice-Oxley (Keane).

Thanks to the early support from A&R Worldwide’s Sat Bisla, British act Keane secured their very first worldwide record deals with Island Records and Interscope. Bisla collaborated closely with Keane’s manager Adam Tudhope, also known for managing Mumford & Sons, to raise the band’s profile in the global A&R community, resulting in significant offers from major record labels worldwide.

Bisla had originally received the early Keane demos back in 2001 from the band’s London-based lawyer Gary Mandel. Mandel had reached out to Sat as no record label wanted to sign the band and Sat had been instrumental in securing multi-million dollar deals for artists who were completely unsigned and unpublished – based purely on his A&R instincts. As soon as Bisla heard Keane’s demos his gut and A&R ears told him that the songs were hits. Sat called Gary Mandel right away, even though it was midnight U.K. time telling him he thought he could get the band signed. Gary Mandel put Bisla in touch with Keane’s manager Adam Tudhope.

Sat Bisla played a crucial role in introducing Keane’s early demos to label heads and A&R executives on both sides of the Atlantic, as well as sending the band’s music to influential radio stations like BBC Radio 1 (U.K.), Radio X London (then known as Xfm), and to KCRW Los Angeles DJ Nic Harcourt. The band’s feature in the influential A&R Worldwide newsletter, along with Bisla’s personal endorsements, garnered significant attention from major labels and booking agents worldwide. Shortly thereafter, the band ended up doing an initial EP deal with U.K. label Fierce Panda, which was founded by Simon Williams.

The first major label A&R executive in the world to want to sign Keane was Ron Laffitte who at the time was Sr. VP A&R of Capitol Records. Sat had organized a meeting with Keane and their manager Adam with Ron at Capitol Records; however, Ron’s boss told him as their label partners in the U.K. had passed on the band, he could not sign them. Sadly, Ron missed out on signing the band.

Eventually, as the momentum grew with Keane, and the excitement Sat was able to generate with record labels in the U.S., the U.K., and internationally, a global bidding war ensued to sign the band – landing Keane with significant seven-figure offers from record labels around the world.

Adam Tudhope, Keane’s manager, expressed his gratitude, stating, “We are thrilled to have signed with Island Records and Interscope, taking Keane to the next level. We extend our thanks to Sat Bisla for his invaluable support. We eagerly anticipate our ongoing collaboration with Sat and A&R Worldwide for Keane’s future releases.”

Keane’s debut album, Hopes and Fears, went on to sell over ten million copies worldwide, and the band continues to be one of the most influential U.K. bands in modern times.

Ironically, Bisla also secured a worldwide publishing deal for producer James Sanger, who co-wrote, recorded, and produced Keane’s debut album with global independent music publisher CTM. A&R Worldwide and Sanger are currently developing a few new unsigned and unpublished artists together who will be revealed in the coming months.

A&R Worldwide Artist Of The Week

GOOD NEIGHBOURS

Following a breakout year that’s seen them dominate streaming platforms and captivate live audiences from Glastonbury to a North American tour with Mumford & Sons, British duo Good Neighbours return with their latest single “Suburbs,” a widescreen, synth-drenched anthem of defiance and nostalgia, offering the latest taste of their hotly anticipated debut album Blue Sky Mentality, due out September 26th via Polydor Records “Suburbs” pairs soaring vocals and luminous production with a message of escape and ambition, as a synth-drenched anthem of defiance and nostalgia. It’s a stirring letter to their younger selves, born in the small towns outside London, where dreaming big was often met with doubt. “This track is our anthem for breaking free from that mindset and chasing something bigger,” the band shares. Recently marking the album announcement, Good Neighbours played a sold-out show at London’s Sebright Armsk, the same venue that hosted their debut gig 18 months ago, bringing their journey full circle. Written across a year of global touring, late-night sessions, and ever-changing scenery, Blue Sky Mentality is a cinematic and emotionally charged portrait of movement, memory, and maintaining connection. The 14-track album features fan favorites “Home,” which is now Platinum-certified with over 450 million streams, “Ripple,” and “Starry Eyed.” Listen to “Suburbs” HERE, and contact Hannah at Various Artists Management for all inquiries on behalf of Good Neighbours.

RHETT REPKO

Annapolis, Maryland’s independent singer-songwriter Rhett Repko brings a fresh, danceable edge to his latest single “Don’t Delay,” a vibrant track built for the stage and bursting with carefree energy. Swapping his usual rock leanings for a bouncy, groove-driven beat, the song leans into spontaneity and swagger, fueled by shout-style vocals and a live band feel. “I wanted something simple and alive,” Repko explains. “Something you could just bounce to.” The new single is produced by Grammy-nominated, Diamond-certified Mark Needham (The Killers, Imagine Dragons). Shot by longtime collaborator Carter Lou, the music video trades beachy pastels for trippy studio lights and driving scenes, offering a colorful, straightforward performance that matches the song’s pulse. It’s a vibe, undeniably fun, easy to move to, and radiating ’80s energy reminiscent of Greg Kihn. Following viral success with “Thnx for the Ride” (over three million views), 6.2 million career streams, and sync placements with Netflix, MTV, and more, Repko continues to carve his path as a dynamic indie artist unafraid to evolve. Watch “Don’t Delay” HERE and contact A&R Worldwide for label, publishing, sync, brand, and booking opportunities on behalf of Rhett Repko.

He founded Secret Service Artist Management in the mid-1990s and later launched Dew Process Recordings and Publishing, home to the likes of Mumford & Sons, Sam Fender, Bernard Fanning, London Grammar, and The Living End, among others. The re-emergence of Dew Process Artist Management arrives on the heels of a milestone for the label’s legacy, with Powderfinger and Bernard Fanning collectively landing four tracks in triple j‘s Hottest 100 of Australian Songs, a record. Also, Dew Process Group announced the addition of Georgia Mooney, Spacey Jane, and Tkay Maidza to its roster. Looking ahead, the company is preparing to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Bernard Fanning’s debut solo album Tea & Sympathy, originally released in October 2005. Beyond Dew Process, Piticco remains deeply involved with Live Nation Australasia as Director of Touring & Venue Development. He has played key roles in shaping some of the country’s most vital music venues, including The Triffid, Fortitude Music Hall, and Hindley Street Music Hall, all now part of the Live Nation portfolio.

CONNEX & MUSICTEAM DEVELOP NEW PROJECT TO SHORE UP SONG CREDITS: MusicTeam has partnered with Connex, an audio and metadata management platform, on a new initiative designed to make music releases more seamless for artists and their teams. The two companies have joined forces to launch Music Project Delivery, a tool that enables creators to log essential metadata right from the start of the creative process. The collaboration builds on Connex’s growing momentum, following its recent partnership with Universal Music Group. Chloe Dagenais, Founder & President of MusicTeam, noted that the project addresses a long-standing challenge in the industry such as managing track versions and ensuring accurate data delivery. “With our proprietary algorithms, MusicTeam can analyze different iterations of a song and determine whether changes are simply mix tweaks or represent a complete creative overhaul.” According to a statement, MusicTeam’s platform centralizes audio and data assets, helping ensure accurate credits and making it easy to deliver everything a label needs, all with a single click.

ONERPM SIGNS RAPPER COCHISE: ONErpm has officially partnered with rapper Cochise as he steps into a new chapter of his career. The deal with Cochise will give him access to customized tools that nurture growth while preserving his artistic freedom. The collaboration kicked off with the release of “I LIE”” a high-energy track that blends the intensity of Midwest Street rap with Cochise’s Southern flair and hyperanimated flow. The song captures the same chaos that powered hits like “Hatchback” and “Tell Em,” – transforming Detroit’s grit into something made for the mosh pit. The track has already racked up nearly three million streams across platforms. Following that momentum, Cochise dropped “BRACES,” which has gained traction online thanks to viral content from creators like Coi Leray and Lola Young. Tony Tuesday, A&R, ONErpm, stated, “Our level of commitment to artist success is matched with the artist’s commitment to the art,” he says. When those two things are aligned, there’s no amount of history we can’t make. I’m excited for this signing and can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
