BMG REVEALS WORLDWIDE SIGNINGS WITH GERMANY’S MCR-T & AUSTRALIA’S KELI HOLIDAY

German electronic artist, producer, and songwriter MCR-T has entered a global publishing partnership with BMG and Electric Feel Publishing. Known for his genre-blending approach across techno, rap, industrial, and electronic music, MCR-T has developed an international audience through releases including “My Barn My Rules” and “My Little White Pony,” as well as collaborations and appearances at festivals worldwide, including Coachella in 2026.

Standing (L-R) are Luzie Blom (Electric Feel), Niels Eberhardt (Electric Feel), MCR-T, Marcel Valin (BMG), Jannik Kleber (BMG), Sophia Bartz (BMG), and Nastassja Roberts (Live from Earth)

The agreement covers MCR-T’s entire songwriting catalog, including both existing works and future releases, with BMG and Electric Feel Publishing jointly representing his creative interests globally as he continues to expand his influence in modern electronic music.

Marcel Valin, Director A&R Publishing GSA, BMG, said, “MCR-T never stops pushing boundaries. By effortlessly moving across genres while keeping his unique identity, he has built a dedicated global fanbase. We are delighted to welcome him to BMG and look forward to working alongside Electric Feel Publishing to support the next phase of his career.”

In addition, Australian artist, songwriter, and producer Keli Holiday, the solo project of Peking Duk’s Adam Hyde, has signed an exclusive global publishing deal with BMG, extending a partnership that has supported his creative journey from the initial stages of the project.

Since launching Keli Holiday, Hyde has built an artistic world that blends music, visuals, and storytelling, gaining international momentum with breakout single “Dancing2.” The track became a viral sensation in 2025, topping TikTok Australia’s Viral Chart, reaching No. 1 on Spotify Viral charts across multiple markets, and earning major recognition, including a top placement in triple j’s Hottest 100.

Keli Holiday

Keli Holiday’s growing success continued with his album Capital Fiction debuting at No. 1 on the ARIA Australian Albums Chart, followed by sold-out tours across Australia, the U.S., the U.K., and Europe. The project has also earned industry recognition, including awards, nominations, and expanding global fan support.

Heath Johns, President, Australia, New Zealand & South-East Asia, BMG, said, “Keli Holiday is one of the most refreshing and impactful new Australian projects we have seen in a long time. As ‘Dancing2’ took over social scrolls and radio waves with a rare virality, Adam was steadily building an incredible new album in Capital Fiction that has immense international appeal and will be backed by extensive global touring. At BMG, we are committed to championing culturally resonant artists and helping their music reach audiences worldwide. Keli’s voice is one that is ready to echo across the world, and we cannot wait to turn the volume up.”

INDIA’S “ALL ABOUT MUSIC” RETURNS FOR ITS MILESTONE EDITION TO MUMBAI IN AUGUST

All About Music, India’s premier music business conference, has officially announced its return for a landmark 10th edition, scheduled to take place from August 25–27, 2026, at the Grand Hyatt Mumbai.

Under the overarching theme “A Decade of Conversations: The Next Chapter of Music Starts Here,” this year’s forum marks 10 years since the conference’s inception. Over the past decade, the event has established itself as the definitive gateway to the Indian music market, serving as a critical nexus for global executives, local stakeholders, independent creators, and technology innovators.

CONVERSING WITH SOME OF INDIA’S INSPIRING MUSIC INDUSTRY LEADERS: Standing (L-R) are Sat Bisla (President & Founder, A&R Worldwide / MUSEXPO and Advisory Board Member, All About Music), Saurabh Abbi, Ashish Jose (Worldwide Manager, Hanumankind), and Alaap Gosher (CEO & Co-Founder, TM Ventures).

Since its launch in 2017, the conference has acted as a primary barometer for the rapid institutionalization and globalization of the Indian music ecosystem. Past editions have featured high-profile international and domestic speakers, including A.R. Rahman, Arijit Singh, Scooter Braun, Lyor Cohen, Shreya Ghoshal, Javed Akhtar, Tom Windish, Mandar Thakur, Devraj Sanyal, Jay Mehta, Bhushan Kumar, Sunidhi Chauhan, A&R Worldwide President & Founder, Sat Bisla (who has served on All About Music’s advisory board for many years), and many others.

Alaap Gosher, CEO & Co-Founder, TM Ventures, tells A&R Worldwide, “What began as a conference ten years ago has grown alongside the Indian music industry itself. As we celebrate this milestone edition, AAM X is both a reflection of how far we’ve come and an opportunity to shape what comes next.”

Meghana Bhogle, Conference Director, All About Music, added, “For 10 years, All About Music has been a platform for the conversations shaping the music industry. As we enter our 10th edition, we’re looking ahead. The next decade of music won’t be defined by a single technology, platform, or trend. It will be shaped by the choices we make today – around creativity, access, innovation, ownership, community, and opportunity. At a time when the foundations of music are being rewritten, AAM X brings together the people, ideas and perspectives helping define what comes next. Not just to discuss the future of music, but to help build it.”

The 2026 edition arrives at a pivotal structural juncture for the region’s industry. The programming will focus heavily on how emerging technologies are reshaping creative outputs, the cross-border monetization of regional Indian music, the viability of self-sustained independent music careers, and the evolving role of hyper-engaged fan communities. As consumption metrics in India continue to scale globally, the three-day forum will address the infrastructure and new business models required to effectively capture value in a fragmented digital landscape.

Further details regarding the 2026 keynote lineup, panel schedules, and registration deadlines will be announced in the coming weeks. For more information on delegate passes and programming updates, visit the official All About Music platform at www.allaboutmusic.in.

A&R Worldwide will also be co-hosting one of its renowned executive and creative networking dinners with key business partners, which will bring together some of the region and international markets influential decision-makers.

KGV KIRAN KUMAR NAMED AS MANAGING DIRECTOR OF INDIA & MIDDLE EAST AT THE ORCHARD

The Orchard has expanded KGV Kiran Kumar’s leadership responsibilities, appointing him Managing Director, India & Middle East. The promotion broadens his remit beyond India and neighboring South Asian markets to include oversight of the company’s operations across the Middle East.

KGV Kiran Kumar

Kumar announced the news a few days ago, highlighting the increasing global reach of music and the growing willingness of audiences to discover artists across languages, cultures, and borders. Reflecting on the evolution of the market, he noted that Indian music has transformed from a predominantly domestic phenomenon into a genre with expanding international appeal.

Since joining The Orchard in 2021 as Country Head for India, Kumar has steadily advanced through the organization, serving as Vice President & Country Head before being named Managing Director, India in 2023. In that role, he also oversaw business activities in Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.

“An artist in Hyderabad can build fans in Houston,” said Kumar. “A Punjabi record can fill arenas in Canada. A Tamil soundtrack can resonate with listeners who do not speak the language. The Middle East is home to a rich and diverse musical landscape, and I am looking forward to spending time understanding its artists, cultures, audiences, and industry dynamics. My hope is to apply some of the lessons we have learned in India where relevant, while remaining a student of the region and its unique creative ecosystem.”

Bringing more than 20 years of experience across banking, telecommunications, technology, and music, Kumar has played a key role in strengthening The Orchard’s presence in the region. Prior to joining the Sony Music-owned company, he spent over two years at Believe, where he held leadership positions, including Distribution Director, India, and Head of Sales & Distribution Services.

A&R Worldwide Artist Of The Week

ANA SKY

Rising alt-pop artist Ana Sky steps further into the spotlight with “Blvd Dreams,” a cinematic and emotionally charged single that captures the allure, loneliness, and late-night haze of chasing something bigger than yourself. Blending melancholic pop with vintage soul textures and modern indie sensibility, the track showcases Ana’s gift for turning deeply personal emotions into widescreen, immersive storytelling, drawing comparisons to artists like Lana Del Rey while firmly carving out a voice of her own. The release arrives at a pivotal moment for Ana Sky, who recently saw her single “King of Hearts” climb to No. 1 on both the U.K. Pop Chart and the iTunes U.K. Main Chart, further accelerating her growing momentum. She now joins Leah Kate as direct support on the upcoming Genius Tour, bringing her emotionally rich live show to audiences across Europe and the U.S., including stops in Denver, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. With “Blvd Dreams,” Ana Sky continues to build a larger artistic world around her music, one rooted in emotional honesty, cinematic detail, and the kind of storytelling that turns fleeting moments into something unforgettable. As her audience rapidly expands, she is proving herself to be far more than an emerging artist; she is becoming one to watch closely. Discover the single HERE and contact Hart Media for additional information and available opportunities with Ana Sky.

BLOSSOMS

Blossoms return with “Joke About Divorce,” a sharp, witty, and emotionally honest new single that finds the Stockport, England five-piece leaning fully into the observational songwriting and irresistible melodic instincts that have made them one of the U.K.’s most consistently beloved bands. Produced by Shawn Lee, the track balances tension and humor with effortless charm, turning a badly timed joke during an argument into a brilliantly relatable slice of offbeat pop storytelling. Frontman Tom Ogden captures the song’s heart perfectly: that split-second moment where humor could either save the situation or make everything catastrophically worse. In true Blossoms fashion, “Joke About Divorce” transforms that painfully human interaction into something catchy, colorful, and strangely poignant, pairing emotional honesty with the band’s unmistakable sense of playfulness. The accompanying video, also directed and edited by Ogden, adds another layer of surreal theatricality, placing the frontman inside a stylized pink-hued world surrounded by identically dressed dancers, further highlighting the band’s flair for visuals that feel both quirky and cinematic. The single arrives as Blossoms continue a remarkable run that has seen them evolve from Mercury Prize-nominated newcomers into one of Britain’s defining modern guitar bands. Nearly a decade on from their debut No.1 album, the group has now earned four U.K. chart-topping records, including 2024’s Gary, while continuing to sell out major headline tours and festival appearances across the U.K. and Europe. Blossoms head into another packed summer with appearances at Neighbourhood Weekender and Tramlines, while “Joke About Divorce” signals the beginning of yet another exciting new chapter for the band, with more new music expected later this year. Watch the video HERE, and contact Robyn Foley for additional information about Blossoms.

TECH STARTUP RTM AUDIO LAUNCHES AI MUSIC DETECTOR UAI: RTM Audio has unveiled UAI, an AI music detection platform designed to provide what the company describes as independently verifiable proof of whether a track contains AI-generated elements. Unlike traditional detection tools that rely on a single confidence score, UAI analyzes recordings using two separate systems, one focused on production characteristics and the other on vocals. A track is only labeled as AI-generated when both systems reach the same conclusion. If the results are inconclusive, the track is escalated to a human reviewer rather than receiving an automated verdict. RTM Audio was founded by Grammy-winning and Grammy-nominated audio professionals Ohad Nissim, Teezio, and Calin Enache, alongside music attorney Matt Buser. Nissim serves as Chief Technology Officer, Teezio as CEO, and Enache, who also founded audio software company Mixwave, as COO. For every analysis, UAI generates a cryptographically signed certificate linked to the track’s ISRC, allowing the result to be independently verified using a public key. According to RTM Audio, the certificates are also designed to align with EU AI Act disclosure requirements and DDEX metadata standards. The company says this certification model distinguishes UAI from existing AI detection services, which typically provide only probability scores. RTM Audio reports that internal testing across 8,236 mastered recordings resulted in just five false positives, representing a 0.06% error rate, and says it is prepared to guarantee those figures contractually, with adjustments made for specific catalogs.

Throughout her career, she has earned multiple Platinum certifications, four U.K. No. 1 singles, and a place among the inaugural recipients of the BRIT Billion Award. DEEZER LAUNCHES REMIX LAB FEATURE: Deezer has introduced Remix Lab, a new in-app feature available through Deezer Club that allows fans to create and share their own remixes of participating artists’ songs. Developed in collaboration with rights holders and with artists’ explicit approval, the feature gives users access to official audio stems while ensuring that all remixes fully respect copyright and licensing agreements. Initially launching in France, Remix Lab offers fans the opportunity to reimagine tracks from artists including Céline Dion, Tiakola, Alonzo, Ronisia, Mosimann, Zaho, and Alain Souchon through a series of creative contests hosted on the platform. Unlike AI-generated remix tools, the feature is built around artist-approved source material, with all streams of remixed versions credited back to the original recordings. Users can access contests directly through Deezer Club or artist pages within the app, create their own versions of selected tracks, and instantly stream, playlist, and share their remixes exclusively on Deezer. The initiative reflects growing demand for fan-driven music creation, with Deezer noting that a sizable portion of music shared on social platforms is already modified by users. Winning remixes will be announced in early September and featured in a dedicated Deezer playlist highlighting the top fan creations. Winners will also receive tickets to a Deezer Purple Door event in September, along with exclusive merchandise from the artist whose track they remixed. Following its French debut, Deezer plans to explore expanding Remix Lab to additional markets in the coming months.

INDEPENDENT RECORD STORES AND WMG LAUNCH INITIATIVE: A coalition of independent record stores across the U.S. has partnered with Warner Music Group to launch a vinyl take-back pilot aimed at exploring sustainable solutions for damaged and unwanted records. Running from late June through September, the initiative will allow music fans to return unplayable vinyl to participating stores, regardless of artist, label, or condition, where the records will be collected for evaluation and potential material recovery. The returned records will be consolidated and processed by recovery partner Virterras Materials, with the pilot examining key factors such as consumer participation, material quality, transportation planning, processing requirements, and the feasibility of large-scale recovery. As vinyl sales continue to thrive, the project seeks to address an often-overlooked question: what happens to records once they can no longer be played or are no longer wanted? The initiative builds on a manufacturing study released in May 2026 by Warner Music Group, GZ Media, and Abbey Road Studios, which demonstrated that unsold and obsolete vinyl can be reprocessed into commercial-grade records while maintaining audio quality and reducing carbon emissions. Supported by the Vinyl Institute and the Viability grant program, which provided funding to Virterras Materials to advance innovation within the vinyl sector, the pilot brings together a network of independent retailers spanning music markets across the country. Participating stores include Amoeba Hollywood in Los Angeles; Antone’s Record Shop in Austin; Country Line Records in Keller, Texas; Criminal Records in Atlanta; Easy Street Records in Seattle; Home Rule Records in Washington, D.C.; Red Zeppelin Records in McKinney, Texas; Rough Trade NYC in New York City; Spin Me Round in Easton, Pennsylvania; Reckless Records in Chicago; and Sweat Records in Miami.
