In September 2007, A&R Worldwide witnessed LMFAO’s captivating performance at On The Rox in Hollywood, CA, during our private record label showcase for the Ting Tings. Impressed by their talent, we formed a close relationship with Red Foo and Sky Blu, advising them to focus on the UK and European markets.
A&R Worldwide played a pivotal role in securing LMFAO’s first-ever global radio support and helping generate record label and music publisher interest when they were unsigned. Despite an offer from Polydor Records (a division of Universal Music Group) in London, England, LMFAO chose to explore other options.
Through collaboration with Nick Shymansky (who was Amy Winehouse’s original A&R man and manager) from Polydor Records, A&R Worldwide supported LMFAO in securing their inaugural publishing deal with This Is Global, a renowned UK-based company.
LMFAO’s connection with A&R Worldwide continued to flourish, leading to their performance at MUSEXPO 2008 and subsequent signing with Cherry Tree/Interscope, solidifying their path to global recognition.
